This policy covers the H.O.P.E. Paranormal website (hopeparanormal.com), the HOPE Spirit Box mobile app for iOS and Android, and HOPE Spirit Box for Chrome, our web-based spirit box at hsb.hopeparanormal.com. All are published by H.O.P.E. Paranormal and Joshua Louis. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Most of what you do in the app never leaves your phone. The following is stored locally on your device and is not collected by us:
You can delete recordings at any time inside the app, and deleting the app removes all of this data.

The mobile app does not require an account, does not collect your email address, and we never sell your data.
The free version of the mobile app shows ads served by Google AdMob. Google may receive your device’s advertising identifier to show you more relevant ads and to measure ad performance. Google’s use of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
On iOS, the app asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before sharing your advertising identifier with Google. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. You can change your choice at any time in Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
On Android, you can opt out of ad personalization or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings, then Privacy, then Ads.
Upgrading to Pro removes ads entirely.
Subscriptions and the lifetime upgrade are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription status; RevenueCat receives purchase receipts and a random app-generated identifier, not your name or payment information. Every permission is optional. The app remains usable if you decline, though features that depend on a permission will be unavailable until you enable it in your device settings.
HOPE Spirit Box for Chrome is our web-based spirit box that runs in your browser. Because it is a membership service with cloud features, it handles more information than the mobile app:
Our main website is a standard informational site. It may use cookies for basic functionality and may include embedded content such as YouTube videos, which behave as if you visited those services directly and may set their own cookies. If you submit a form or email us, we use your contact information only to respond to you.
Our apps, services, and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
In the mobile app, recordings and profile information live on your device and are under your control; push tokens are kept while notifications are enabled, and exported videos are kept on our server until you delete them in the app. For HOPE Spirit Box for Chrome, your account information and cloud recordings are kept while your account is active; recordings you delete are removed from our server, and you can contact us to close your account and have its data deleted.
You may request access to or deletion of any data we hold for you by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, such as the GDPR or the CCPA, and we will honor valid requests.
